Long awaited footpath opens

A new footpath and cycleway from our Summers Park development in Lawford formally opened on Friday 26th May.

This new route leaves the Summers Park development on its north side, and provides a more direct route from the Colchester Road area to the Dale Hall Estate, giving far more convenient access to the town centre, commercial areas and the train station, as well as linking to the Essex Way.

County and District Councillor Giancarlo Guglielmi and Councillor Dave Ashley, Chairman of Lawford Parish Council cut the ribbon; Councillor Giancarlo Guglielmi said “we are thrilled that consultation feedback has been incorporated into the Summers Park development, and that the wider community is already benefitting. This new access way provides a much-needed safe and direct route from the south of the village to the town centre.”
